Mouthpieces are primarily used by Hookah Bars, and are also used with Multiple Hose Hookahs for sanitary purposes. Mouthpieces are disposable plastic pieces that insert into the end of the Hose, allowing for more than one person to smoke with the Hookah at a time. Mouthpieces also regulate the amount of smoke that normally comes out of the Hookah, allowing for a more pleasant smoking experience.

essential seriously, if you smoke hookah out in the public... you might know how essential these things can be towards sanitary reasons. with these guys...you don't have to deal with a wet tip when the hose is passed to you... because all you gotta do is put your tip on.
I have two different kinds of mouth pieces, these male type( part of the mouthpiece goes in the hose) and also female type (the tip of the hose goes in the mouthpiece). I'm more partial towards using male type mouth pieces because I find them to be more universal, but these right here do a fine job.

better flavor i have recently noticed that when i go to the local hookah bar or smoke my hookah and use a mouth piece the smoke becomes more flavorful. i like to save mine and use them for the same flavor because the plastic gathers more flavor if used for the same flavor.
