Description

For enthusiasts everywhere, Tangiers Noir Premium Flavored Tobacco is the golden child of the hookah tobacco industry. Produced in San Diego, California by hand in small batches, this highly sought after fine cut unwashed dark leaf tobacco can be slightly troublesome to get your hands on.

With a wide variety of flavors, many of which are staples for a solid collection, it's a tobacco that packs a punch in the flavor department as well as a buzz. It is dark in nature with no artificial colors added and very finely cut allowing for it to be beautifully dense packed.

It requires a little acclimation before getting the desired outcome and tends to be better suited for seasoned smokers rather than novices. Tangiers Noir is the original line produced by the company and has the most flavors available.

How To Smoke Tangiers Shisha Tobacco

Tangiers is the only brand we carry that requires a particular bowl style in order to achieve the desired session. You could theoretically toss this shisha in any bowl and light up coals some coals for a quick smoke, but the flavor and performance may not be seen as an ideal experience to the trained smoker.

There are two terms to remember when it comes time to load up some Tangiers, dense pack and phunnel bowl.

Using a sprinkle pack method with this particular shisha can result in lower flavor output and a harsh inhale. so take your time if this is your first attempt.

The recommended dense pack involves filling the interior ring with a loose pack and then apply pressure to create a firm but breathable foundation. Once this is complete you'll add more shisha while still applying the same pressure until you reach the interior rim, in most cases you can turn your bowl upside down and nothing should fall out.

Before you apply your heat management device (foil, lotus, provost) make sure the pack is even and when you poke holes with foil make sure to poke through to the shisha to create small air pockets. We recommend the use of natural hookah charcoal for all Tangiers sessions and we often use cube shape charcoal atop of our foil, but always explore to see what's right for you.
