The Scene
Though the location is ideal for NC State students, Maanjri attracts crowds from all over the city, including those who frequent bars in the trendier Glenwood South area. Inside, luscious Moroccan accents--gem-toned walls and white fabric panels--complement the bar's contemporary lighting and plasma screens. Tables, barstools and cushy sofas scattered with pillows make the 4,800-square-foot space cozier for patrons to browse the Internet, sip coffees and martinis and sample cappuccino- or jasmine-flavored tobacco hookahs.
